was trying to find a song to fit my animation and decided on one of my favorites, Bad Company By Bad Company i feel it fits in with the animation and the character very well.

finished and rendered my animation all placed together still needs a few things at a later date like all work there is always room to improve. gonna upload it very shortly. for now here are a few stills from it.
i think the biggest problem is my textures as they are just very basic.

Scene 1 of my animation.

decided to go for basic textures for the moment and hopefully i will get to make it look nicer later on at some point, think i probably took on more than i could handle lot of movements i struggled with partially because of my rig and mess being parented together, made it difficult to detach parts from the character and when i duplicated a part it seem to fire of in a random direction.
took me a while to get my animation done well kinda done, rendering is the biggest nightmare, always a challenge  and my laptop isnt handling it so good so far. sure it will be alright, and everything will be done in time.
i started with just doing a basic skeleton rig which i then added  more bones to get better control creating thre extra joints on each foot so i could bring in a heel and toe twist as well as a heel, toe and ball roll. i found these added twist and rolls very useful with my characters movement especially some of the more tricky movements, i also added an extra bone in each arm to give a better wrist control for the character
going back to my rigging learnt alot from sultan how to do the rigging right, never done anything in maya before so was all new to me the way i would rig in softimage xsi was different to maya, i had to basic knowledge but sultan show me how to group my controls and joints not only did this make it easier to animate it also made my maya file tidier and easier to find objects.
Been working like made to get my animation finished and i think it looks ok just hope i have done enough rendering image sequences out hopefully i will be able to post some stills and scenes from my piece on here.

got my rig finished and i think its all good seems to be working alright, taken awhile to post this was awhile ago when i finished this been busy animating my piece. have to say had a few problems with the animation but im sure i sorted them. pictures will be uploaded soon

in the process of getting my rig finish and starting to animate, gonna be a few late nights i think but bring it on :D
dissertation is at the final stage i will be happy to be done with it so i can put everything into my animation.
